These sirens might be calling you to remember a harmonious upbringing, for example, and to deny that relationships within your family of origin were destructive or abusive. Meeting up with your family can then feel poisonous or defeating until you are able to recognize and mourn for what was lost. Sirens might be calling you back to believe what you were told as a child, that you were basically bad, or that whatever happens you mustn’t cause a fuss.7
